Job Requirements

  • must pass security clearance per company policy
  • must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • must be able to stand for eight hours and perform physical tasks including bending stretching reaching crawling and kneeling
  • must be able to see and hear
  • must speak and understand english with communication in other languages a plus
  • must maintain professionalism honesty and trustworthiness at all times
  • must be available to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • experience in similar positions such as lodging housing hospitals and care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • ability to perform major life activities including standing lifting bending learning reading concentrating thinking and communicating
  • proficiency in english communication both speaking and reading
  • professionalism honesty and trustworthiness
  • knowledge of proper linen handling sanitation and guestroom cleaning
  • safety and security awareness
  • ability to follow systematic cleaning procedures
  • ability to assist guests maintaining a hospitable and caring attitude
  • capability to work independently and as a team member

Job Duties

  • maintains cleanliness of guest rooms
  • manages usage and organization of supplies
  • cleans vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready
  • returns occupied dirty rooms to a clean status
  • maintains professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
  • maintains a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
  • follows all outlined cleaning procedures and training checklists
  • reports any discrepancies to housekeeping manager
  • assists in maintaining cleanliness of other hotel areas
  • responds to guest requests and inquiries promptly
  • possesses thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and safety needs
  • performs other assigned duties as required
