Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping and walking
- availability to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- ability to comply with company standards, rules and regulations
- reliable attendance record
- good communication skills
- ability to maintain a hospitable service atmosphere
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- any combination of education and experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
- ability to push or pull equipment weighing up to 150 pounds
- ability to lift and carry objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds
- ability to scrub and scour surfaces, including extending arms overhead
- ability to work in confined spaces
- effective communication skills with associates and guests
- ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- basic comprehension of English language to understand labels, instructions and guest requests
- maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance according to company standards
Job Duties
- clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, windows and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes and/or cleaning agents
- spot clean stains on walls, doors, carpet and furniture
- strip and make beds, changing bed linens, including bed skirts, mattress toppers and pillow protectors
- dust all furniture, pictures, window ledges and shelves thoroughly
- check under beds to remove trash or other debris
- maintain cleanliness of public spaces such as lobby, public restrooms, offices, elevators and stairways
- push and pull vacuum throughout guest rooms and empty trash
- replenish amenities, linens and supplies in guest rooms
- sign for keys, retrieve and push cart weighing up to 150 pounds
- visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance
- report all repairs or maintenance problems to supervisor
- greet guests in hallways and inquire about their stay
- respond timely to guest requests for items and information
- report suspicious persons, activities or hazardous conditions
- turn in items found to Lost and Found department
- assist room attendants and cross train when necessary
