Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training
- Good English reading, writing, and oral proficiency
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement
- Ability to work effectively within a team and with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds unaided and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift
- Physical capability to perform repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and with good listening, hearing, and visual abilities
Job Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required
- Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail and speed and accuracy with the ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers as part of a team and with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on own and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shift
- Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Maintain positive guest and client relations at all times
- Collaborate with all departments and communicate through GXP
- Resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
- Clean and replenish guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to hotel standards
- Complete accurately and in a timely manner any assigned work
- Maintain cleanliness levels in public areas of the hotel including guest hallways and housekeeping closets
- Report any defects to the corresponding areas responsible
- Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
- Maintain complete knowledge of equipment and use only as intended
- Maintain a professional and personable appearance at all times, according to hotel standards
- Successfully achieve the hotel's core competencies including work product, teamwork and culture, guest and customer service, work ethic, and impact-oriented problem solver
- All other duties as requested
