Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training
  • Good English reading, writing, and oral proficiency
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds unaided and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift
  • Physical capability to perform repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and with good listening, hearing, and visual abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required
  • Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail and speed and accuracy with the ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers as part of a team and with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on own and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire shift
  • Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity

Job Duties

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
  • Maintain positive guest and client relations at all times
  • Collaborate with all departments and communicate through GXP
  • Resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
  • Clean and replenish guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to hotel standards
  • Complete accurately and in a timely manner any assigned work
  • Maintain cleanliness levels in public areas of the hotel including guest hallways and housekeeping closets
  • Report any defects to the corresponding areas responsible
  • Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
  • Maintain complete knowledge of equipment and use only as intended
  • Maintain a professional and personable appearance at all times, according to hotel standards
  • Successfully achieve the hotel's core competencies including work product, teamwork and culture, guest and customer service, work ethic, and impact-oriented problem solver
  • All other duties as requested
