Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- cleans multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- cleans corridors and stairways
- sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture, washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs
- scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls and bathroom fan
- completes quality check on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
- removes items left from room to lost and found following proper procedure
- reports maintenance issues to maintenance department
- assumes careful use of supplies and equipment
- wears proper uniform at all times
- achieves score of 90% or higher on room inspections
- greets guests pleasantly
- has thorough knowledge of in-house products and local area
- organizes and stocks housekeeping cart timely
- keeps commercial area clean and neat
- responds promptly to housekeeping supply needs
- uses guest name when entering occupied room
- checks vacancy status daily
- maintains supply room clean and organized
- assists co-workers as needed
