Job Requirements
- Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles and use of cleaning products
- vision ability to see minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas
- upper body strength to lift up to 50lbs continually during an 8-hour shift
- dexterity to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture
- ability to work with arms raised above head throughout an 8-hour shift
- ability to maneuver fully loaded cleaning carts weighing up to 50lbs through hallways and closets
- passionate about people and service
- strong communication skills for interacting with guests and employees
- reading and writing abilities for completing paperwork and logging information
- problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities
- willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards
- basic knowledge of general cleaning principles and use of cleaning products

Job Duties
- Clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas by meeting established cleanliness standards
- retrieve items from shelves and storerooms and maintain cleaning carts and storerooms
- clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures including hard-to-reach areas
- wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls, mirrors, and sinks
- replace towels, soaps, room amenities, and restock literature
- wash hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt
- dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings
- strip beds and remake with fresh linens, checking for cleanliness
- check closet cleanliness and restock supplies such as hangers and blankets
- vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways including underneath furniture
- inspect door and window locks and alert management of unsafe conditions
- inspect room equipment and report maintenance issues
- secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies
- maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor
- perform other duties as assigned
