Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- up to six months related experience or training
- ability to read limited number of two and three-syllable words
- ability to print and speak simple sentences
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- proficiency in English to communicate with guests
- physical capability to stand, walk, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear regularly
- ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- willingness to work with cleaning fluids and operate hand tools
- ability to reach 2 feet above the head
- ability to work in moderate noise environment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish and service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures
- stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning of shift
- greet guests warmly upon encounter
- replace linens on beds and replenish guest room supplies
- empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
- rearrange furnishings, drapes and room accessories
- provide necessary linen and amenities to guests as per guest room legend
- secure and lock guest rooms after servicing
- report any damage, hazards, repairs and strangers in assigned areas
- return found items to Housekeeping department with detailed documentation
- be responsible for all keys signed out for the shift
- clean corridors and service areas
- respond to housekeeping management requests or projects
- replace light bulbs if necessary
- restock cart at end of shift and organize linen closet
- perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
