Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to perform job-related physical activities including standing or sitting for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry items
  • ability to perform movements such as bending, twisting, and reaching
  • punctuality and time management
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to carry out specific oral or written instructions
  • ability to perform repetitive actions consistently
  • previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Make beds in guest rooms
  • replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, water, coffee, writing supplies, and bathroom supplies in guest rooms
  • clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms using approved chemicals and cleaning products
  • vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies
  • dust furniture and equipment
  • polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
  • wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
  • empty wastebaskets and ashtrays
  • transport trash and waste to disposal area
  • replace light bulbs
  • collect soiled linens for laundering and receive and store linen supplies
  • load articles into washer and add detergent
  • lift and place articles into dryers
  • sort, fold, and place dried articles in storage
  • report technical issues and maintenance needs
  • update status of guest rooms on assignment sheet
  • return and restock cleaning cart at shift end
  • comply with all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards
  • greeting guests and responding to queries
  • address guest complaints within scope
