Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform physical activities including standing or sitting for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry items as needed
  • Ability to bend, twist, and reach to complete duties
  • Ability to follow oral or written instructions
  • Capability to perform repetitive actions consistently

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and respond to queries
  • Make beds and replenish supplies including drinking glasses, water, coffee, writing supplies, and bathroom essentials
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • Dust furniture and equipment
  • Polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
  • Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
  • Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays and dispose of trash
  • Replace light bulbs
  • Collect and launder soiled linens
  • Operate washers and dryers adding appropriate detergents
  • Sort and fold linens and store properly
  • Report technical issues and maintenance needs
  • Update guest room status on assignment sheets
  • Restock cleaning cart at shift end
  • Comply with housekeeping policies and standards
  • Perform job-related physical activities like bending, twisting, lifting
  • Carry out other assigned duties
