Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- Up to six months related experience or training
- Ability to read two and three syllable words
- Speak and print simple sentences
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Communicate in English
- Physically able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to use cleaning tools and solvents safely
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or up to six months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and speak simple sentences in English
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
- Ability to communicate with guests effectively
- Knowledge of safety and security measures
- Able to recognize situations requiring supervisory attention
Job Duties
- Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish and service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures
- Stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning of shift
- Greet guests with a friendly "Good Morning" or appropriate greeting
- Replace linens on beds and replenish guest room supplies
- Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
- Rearrange furnishings, drapes and room accessories
- Provide necessary linens and amenities to guests as per guest room legend
- Ensure guest rooms are left in uniform arrangement and rooms are locked
- Report any damage, hazards, repairs, and strangers in assigned areas
- Return found items to Housekeeping department and document them
- Responsible for all keys signed out during shift
- Clean all corridors and service areas
- Respond to projects or requests from Housekeeping management
- Replace light bulbs when necessary
- Restock cart at end of shift and organize linen closet
- Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
