Job Requirements

  • Must pass appropriate security clearance due to guest room access
  • Ability to perform major life activities including standing for 8 hours, lifting up to 30 pounds, pushing or pulling 60 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak and understand English
  • Should display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness at all times
  • Must be flexible with work schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate professionally with guests and coworkers
  • Must be physically capable of performing housekeeping duties
  • Maintain confidentiality and guest privacy

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions such as lodging or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens and supplies
  • Understanding of sanitation, guestroom cleaning procedures, and safety measures
  • Ability to maintain designated minutes per room
  • Ability to maintain guest privacy and follow cleaning protocols
  • Professional communication skills and hospitable attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compliance with company standards and policies

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner
  • Clean vacant dirty rooms to guest ready status and occupied dirty rooms to clean status within time and accuracy constraints
  • Maintain a professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
  • Organize and maintain housekeeping cart
  • Follow all cleaning procedures as outlined in training
  • Report discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of public and back of house areas
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately
  • Know and adhere to emergency, safety, and security procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned compatible with the role
