Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch and reach frequently
- willing to work under a drug-free workplace policy
- able to work various shifts as required
- capable of handling cleaning chemicals safely
- experience in a hospitality environment is advantageous
Job Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- physical stamina to perform cleaning duties
- attention to detail
- good communication skills
- ability to work efficiently within a team
- basic knowledge of cleaning equipment use and safety procedures
Job Duties
- Receive room list from supervisor
- clean at least 16 rooms per day
- collect soiled linen and terry
- inspect linen and make beds
- replenish guestroom and bath supplies
- service stay over guest rooms according to standards
- sweep patio and clean outside tables and chairs
- sweep, mop and vacuum bathroom
- dust room furniture
- clean guest room closet
- vacuum entire room
- check under mattress and bed for forgotten items on checkout
- clean mirrors and doorknobs
- ensure checkouts have do not disturb sign and room service menu
- report room status discrepancies to floor supervisor
- spray air freshener in room
- check and secure the guest room
- return assigned boards and equipment to designated area
