Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- cleans multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- cleans corridors and stairways
- sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture, washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs
- scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls and bathroom fan
- completes quality check on television, telephone, AC and smoke detectors
- removes items left behind and follows proper hotel procedures
- reports maintenance related problems
- uses supplies and equipment carefully
- wears proper uniform at all times
- obtains score of 90% or higher on room inspections
- greets guests pleasantly
- displays thorough knowledge of in-house products and local area
- organizes and stocks cart in a timely manner
- keeps commercial area clean
- responds promptly to customer needs
- uses guest name when entering rooms
- checks vacant rooms daily
- maintains supply room clean and organized
- assists co-workers when needed
