Job Requirements

  • Pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
  • ability to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking and communicating
  • ability to push or pull 60 pounds
  • ability to lift and/or carry 30 pounds
  • ability to stand for eight hours
  • ability to bend, stretch, reach, crawl and kneel
  • ability to see and hear
  • ability to speak, read or understand English

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions such as lodging, housing, hospitals, or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • knowledge of proper linen and supply handling procedures
  • knowledge of sanitation of supplies and guestrooms
  • knowledge of guest room cleaning procedures
  • knowledge of safety and security measures
  • ability to maintain designated cleaning times per room
  • ability to maintain guest privacy
  • ability to follow systematic cleaning procedures
  • ability to assist guests with professionalism and hospitable attitude
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to comply with all standards
  • ability to multi-task and stay service centric
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous and professional manner
  • clean vacant dirty rooms to guest ready standards
  • return occupied dirty rooms to clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints
  • maintain a crisp, clean and professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
  • maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
  • follow all cleaning procedures as specified on the training checklist
  • report discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager
  • assist in maintaining other hotel areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
  • have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and safety protocols
  • perform other duties as assigned
