Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Good communication skills
  • Must adhere to safety and security guidelines
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Availability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Stock housekeeping bag to ensure enough cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities are available
  • Observe knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
  • Clean assigned guest rooms and ensure amenities are stocked
  • Complete housekeeping checklist for each room
  • Mark cleaned rooms for supervisor inspection accurately
  • Report damages or hazards in guest rooms such as burnt-out bulbs or broken furniture
  • Secure guest room doors upon exiting
  • Keep corridors and service areas neat
  • Turn in lost and found items and guest keys
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know and follow fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions and accidents to management
  • Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per team member handbook
  • Assist other housekeeping personnel as needed
  • Perform any other related duties as requested by management
