Job Requirements
- Must be available to work rotating days off including weekends
- Must be able to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- Ability to stand for eight hours and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, reaching
- Ability to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
- Must comply with all safety and security measures
- Capability to maintain designated minutes per room
- Must respond professionally to guest issues
- Must work a flexible schedule with possible long hours and occasional holiday and weekend shifts
- Must maintain a neat and orderly housekeeping cart
- Must be able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with guests and co-workers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One plus years of experience in a branded quality hotel preferred but not necessary
- Professionalism with characteristics of honesty and trustworthiness
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens and supplies
- Understanding of sanitation and guestroom cleaning procedures
- Ability to maintain guest privacy
- Capable of multitasking and detail-oriented
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work alone and as a team member
- Comply with safety and security standards
Job Duties
- Daily clean and return vacant dirty rooms to a vacant ready status and return occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status
- Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
- Report any discrepancies to the Housekeeping Department Supervisor
- Turns in articles left in rooms to Housekeeping office for lost and found handling
- Insure quality and quantity of the contents of the linen closet by organizing and cleaning it
- Maximize job efficiency and neat orderly appearance by maintaining supply cart and vacuum cleaner
- Insure safety and maximum security
- Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately
- Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
