Job Requirements
- Must pass appropriate security clearance due to access to guestrooms and property
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time up to eight hours
- Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel
- Must be able to see and hear effectively
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English
- Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness at all times
- Must be flexible to work holidays and weekends in a 24/7 operation
- Must maintain grooming and uniform standards
- Must comply with company cleaning and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience in similar positions such as lodging, housing, hospitals, or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
- Ability to stand for eight hours and perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, stretching, crawling, kneeling
- Ability to communicate in English, additional languages beneficial
- Professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures systematically
- Ability to maintain guest privacy
- Ability to multitask and work independently and as a team
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of safety and security measures
Job Duties
- Clean vacant dirty rooms to be guest ready within specified time and accuracy constraints
- Return occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status per brand standards
- Maintain a crisp, clean and professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
- Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
- Follow all cleaning procedures outlined in housekeeping training and checklists
- Report any discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager
- Assist in maintaining other hotel areas such as associate lounges, restrooms, public areas, stairwells, and back-of-house areas
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly
- Have knowledge of emergency procedures and safety and security needs
- Perform other duties as assigned consistent with capabilities
