Job Requirements

  • Must be able to perform major life activities such as standing lifting bending learning reading concentrating thinking and communicating
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours bend stretch reach crawl and kneel
  • Must be able to see and hear
  • Must be able to speak and read or understand English
  • Must display professionalism honesty and trustworthiness
  • Must pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
  • Must maintain a flexible work schedule including availability on holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in similar positions such as lodging housing hospitals or care facilities helpful but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of proper handling and sanitation of linens terry and supplies
  • Knowledge of guestroom cleaning procedures and safety and security measures
  • Ability to maintain designated cleaning minutes per room
  • Ability to maintain guest privacy
  • Ability to follow cleaning procedures systematically
  • Ability to assist with guest issues while being professional and hospitable
  • Ability to work alone and as a team member
  • Ability to communicate with guests and co-workers in a friendly professional manner
  • Ability to multi-task and remain service centric

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner following company standards
  • Clean vacant dirty rooms to guest-ready standards and return occupied dirty rooms to clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints
  • Maintain a crisp clean and professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
  • Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
  • Follow all cleaning procedures outlined in training and specified on the training checklist
  • Report any discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager
  • Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel clean and orderly including associate lounge locker room restrooms public areas stairwells and back of house areas
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately
  • Have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and understand safety and security needs of guests and associates
  • Perform other duties as assigned that the associate is capable of doing
