Job Requirements
- Background check required
- drug screening required
- security clearance may be required
- must hold a commercial single-engine pilot certificate
- must maintain current FAA Class II medical rating
- must be able to obtain or maintain secret security clearance by 1 Sept 2023
- must demonstrate F-16 flight recency
- must have at least 2,000 F-16 flight hours
- must have at least 500 F-16 instructor hours
- must provide statement of F-16 recency for each pilot
- must be willing to commit to at least 3 months availability, preferably 18 months
Job Qualifications
- Current FAA Class II medical rating
- commercial, single-engine pilot certificate
- must obtain or maintain secret security clearance by 1 Sept 2023
- current F-16 qualification desired
- 2,000 plus F-16 flight hours
- 500 plus F-16 instructor hours
- F-16 RTU instructor time highly desired
- must provide statement of F-16 recency for each pilot
Job Duties
- Instruct and execute F-16 simulator training scenarios
- perform platform F-16 instruction
- fly and instruct airborne in F-16 aircraft
- attend mass briefings, flight briefings, plan and fly F-16 training missions, accomplish flight debriefings and attend mass debriefings
- adhere to all training rules and pre-briefed maneuvering restrictions
- collect and disseminate lessons learned
- accomplish necessary ground training prior to flights
- deploy as required to support mission requirements
- execute administrative and command and control functions of the RoAF F-16 Training Center
- perform other duties as assigned
