Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a construction trade or surveying support role
- Ability to work full-time on site in Monroe, Louisiana
- Willingness to travel and receive per diem and allowances
- Physical capability to perform manual labor and handle surveying equipment
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE guidelines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and project signage accurately
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in construction surveying or related trade
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
- Proficient with measuring devices and surveying equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to maintain and clean tools and equipment
- Understanding of construction site safety requirements
- Capability to work under supervision and escalate issues as needed
Job Duties
- Assist with construction surveying activities under direction of Survey Party Chief
- Hold measuring devices during construction layout activities
- Establish points by installing physical markers
- Prepare surveying equipment for use
- Remove obstructions during construction layout activities
- Measure distance between points using measuring tape or electronic equipment
- Move and adjust position of survey equipment
- Maintain and clean surveying equipment including tracking of calibrations
- Ensure security of equipment and work area while conducting operations
- Inventory supplies and give supply orders to Survey Party Chief for re-stocking
- Display high level of teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations
- Fully understand work instructions, project signage, and safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers and prepare and inspect tools prior use to ensure safe and working condition
- Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans, follow safety expectations for operation of equipment and tools, select appropriate equipment for performing work, adhere to safety protocols to perform work, and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Identify, communicate, and escalate problems and issues to supervisor for immediate resolution
- Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees
- Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned
