Job Requirements
- Minimum age 21
- Degree in culinary arts, nutrition, or home economics preferred
- Two or more years of related experience or experience in sales, product demonstrations, or professional cooking
- Completion or ability to complete H-E-B Wine selling certification
- Completion or ability to complete TABC certification
- Ability to stand, reach, grasp constantly and occasionally sit, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, twist, push/pull, pinch, and perform fine motor movements
- Ability to lift 60 lbs
- Willingness to work flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- Degree in culinary arts, nutrition, or home economics preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience related to food, cooking, or sales
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques such as grill, sauté, roast, and fry
- Ability to learn and use H-E-B systems and processes
- Completion or ability to complete H-E-B wine selling certification
- Completion or ability to complete TABC certification
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work flexible hours
Job Duties
- Perform selling activation events in the Cooking Connection kitchen
- Assist in developing appropriate recipes targeted to the local customer base
- Engage customers by sharing knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques, and beverage recommendations
- Conduct cooking demonstrations and food preparation using efficient methods
- Provide advice for menu and meal planning based on customer needs
- Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure merchandising displays and kitchen cleanliness meet A+ standards
