Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids is a renowned food manufacturing facility that operates as a 3-shift non-union operation with approximately 200 hourly staff members who are a mix of temporary and full-time associates. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in operating robotic or automated machinery preferred
  • Mechanical proficiency and ability to operate computer-controlled equipment
  • Ability to understand and explain flow diagrams
  • Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
  • Willingness to follow strict safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work 3rd shift hours from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am Monday through Friday
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must comply with company attendance policies

Job Duties

  • Operate robotic arm systems to perform tasks such as material handling, sortation, palletization, and other distribution processes
  • Supervise and control the robotic arm's movements to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety
  • Perform daily inspections on the robotic arm system to ensure its efficient functionality
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department for additional assistance and specialized maintenance needs
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify that the robotic arm system is meeting production standards
  • Maintain accurate records of robot programs, setup configurations, and maintenance activities
  • Document any issues, resolutions, or improvements made to the robotic arm system
  • Protect the quality of the product by ensuring that products do not sit in the palletizing area in excess of guidelines during downtime or slow manufacturing periods
  • Eliminate unsafe conditions and/or report them to your supervisor immediately upon identification
  • Follow GMPs, safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
  • Report to your supervisor any issues or situations which make compliance difficult or impossible
