Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
  • minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • proven team leadership and coaching experience
  • bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred
  • strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • experience with logistics management software
  • knowledge of US-Mexico cross-border regulations and customs
  • willingness to travel to Mexico as required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
  • 5+ years in a similar role with strong people management, coaching, and motivational skills
  • bilingual in Spanish and English would be an asset
  • ability to resolve complex issues proactively and effectively
  • familiarity with logistics software systems and analytical skills
  • understanding of geography, trade compliance, cross border processes (US-Mexico), and customs
  • comfortable with travel to Mexico as per business needs

Job Duties

  • Customer relationship management - act as main point of contact, processing orders, providing status updates, handling inquiries, resolving complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Operations oversight - manage all road freight activities including scheduling pickups/deliveries, booking carriers, coordinating with drivers/agents, and overseeing documentation such as bills of lading and invoices
  • Team leadership - supervise, train, and motivate the logistics team, fostering collaboration and cross-training
  • Performance & KPIs - establish and monitor key performance indicators like on-time delivery, cost, and order accuracy, and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Cost & efficiency - develop strategies to optimize routes, manage trailer pools, control costs, and enhance supply chain efficiency
  • Carrier & vendor management - negotiate with carriers and brokers, monitor their performance, and build strong relationships
  • Regulatory compliance - ensure all operations adhere to DOT regulations, customs requirements for international road freight, and company safety standards
  • Process optimization - implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies to increase workflow efficiency and reduce logistics costs
