Job Requirements
- Graduate of approved nursing program required
- Consistent demonstration of novice or advance beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency required
- Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer into job
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to engage in continuing education and professional development
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of approved nursing program
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Demonstrated novice or advance beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency
- Current State of California Registered Nurse license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to obtain Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire or transfer
Job Duties
- Provide nursing care to oncology patients including administering chemotherapy and monitoring patient response
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage symptoms related to cancer and its treatment
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and self-care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Participate in continuing education and certification programs to maintain professional competence
- Contribute to the implementation of new therapy programs and oncology care initiatives
