Job Description
Butler Hospital, established in 1844, is Rhode Island's only non-profit, free-standing psychiatric hospital. Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Availability to work full-time or part-time
- Physical ability to perform nursing duties
- Willingness to comply with hospital policies and procedures
- Background check clearance
Job Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing preferred
- Ability to work all shifts including days, evenings, and nights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to ethical standards and patient confidentiality
- Basic computer literacy
Job Duties
- Provide direct nursing care to psychiatric patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care as necessary
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Support patients and families through education and counseling
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Participate in clinical research and continuous education initiatives
