Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • one year of work experience in programming, event planning, or administrative responsibilities
  • ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • valid driver’s license meeting insurance guidelines
  • successful completion of criminal background check
  • successful completion of drug screening test

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or ged
  • one year of work experience in programming, event planning, or administrative responsibilities
  • ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • experience in supporting large-scale events and fundraisers preferred
  • valid driver’s license meeting insurance guidelines
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • strong communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • supports the development and operation of events
  • provides on-site support, post-event follow-ups, and debriefs
  • supports promotional efforts including creating signage, web updates, event program content, media appearances, social media posts, email newsletters, and distribution of print materials
  • informs event groups of rules and safety precautions
  • provides event logistics support including electrical, sound, lighting, tents, tables, chairs, security, street closures, parking, and buildings
  • assists in monitoring and enforcing rules and regulations
  • provides administrative support including processing invoices, creating reports, data entry, and drafting communications
  • supports agency goals and special projects
  • maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
  • works assigned and flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • assists in identifying sponsorship and community partnerships
  • assists in budgeting and financial planning
  • provides customer service responding to questions and concerns
  • performs other duties as assigned
