Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in event coordination or support
  • ability to work irregular schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledge of event logistics including sound, lighting, security, and facility management
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • proficiency with social media and promotional content creation
  • capacity for administrative tasks such as invoice processing and data entry
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • commitment to punctuality and reliability

Job Duties

  • supports the development and operation of events
  • provides on-site support, post-event follow-ups, and debriefs
  • assists in promotional efforts including signage creation, web updates, event program content review, media appearances, social media posts, e-mail newsletters, and print materials distribution
  • informs event groups about rules and safety precautions
  • supports event logistics such as electrical, sound, lights, tents, tables, chairs, security, street closures, parking, and buildings
  • monitors and enforces adherence to rules and regulations
  • provides administrative support including processing invoices, creating reports, data entry, and drafting communications
  • supports agency goals, special projects, and cross-departmental needs
  • maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
  • works assigned schedule including irregular hours
  • assists in identifying sponsorship and community partner opportunities
  • assists with budget proposals
  • responds to public inquiries related to events
  • performs other duties as assigned
