Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- ability to work in an office environment with frequent telephone and face-to-face interactions
- ability to handle physical demands such as walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds, stooping, and sitting for extended periods
- willingness to stay past scheduled shifts when required
- adherence to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
- ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and staff

- proficiency in computer systems used in the department
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Represent MMC in a courteous and professional manner
- greet guests and incoming phone calls politely and promptly
- take accurate messages including all required information
- process voicemails
- be punctual and prepared to start work
- frequently read and respond to email communications
- stay past scheduled work time when needed to support patient care
- prepare and process fee tickets and patient forms
- collect co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance, and other patient balances
- schedule appointments and required testing, labs, or referrals
- prepare daily deposit and maintain cash bag
- obtain accurate demographic and insurance information for billing
- provide prompt, efficient, and accurate patient service
- meet or exceed patient, doctor, and staff expectations through teamwork
- keep work area and clinic clean
- adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
- follow all MMC policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned with instruction
