Job Description

Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital located in North Florida that provides comprehensive healthcare services to Union County and the surrounding areas. The hospital operates 24-hour emergency services and offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical services including hospitalization, swing bed programs, rehabilitation, outpatient laboratory testing, and a variety of radiology services like X-ray, ultrasound, and CT scans. Job Requirements

  • Valid Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
  • Possession of Florida Medicare and Florida Medicaid numbers or ability to obtain them
  • Ability to care for patients of all ages (family practice)
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take direction
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn electronic health records (EHR) system
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
  • Ability to see patients of all ages (Family Practice experience preferred)
  • Experience or willingness to learn electronic health records (EHR) medical charting systems
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working in rural health care or family practice settings preferred

Job Duties

  • Deliver primary medical care to patients of all ages in a rural health clinic setting
  • Perform initial patient screenings, history taking, and physical examinations
  • Maintain accurate and current patient records with attention to detail
  • Schedule and manage follow-up appointments and communicate with patients regarding ongoing care
  • Analyze test data to determine further treatment or follow-up needs
  • Collaborate as part of a healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Provide patients with guidance, counseling, and education regarding their health and treatment options
