Job Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field
  • Two or more years of job related experience or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Two or more years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and experience
  • Experience working in a university setting with activities and event planning preferred
  • Knowledge of event planning software preferred
  • Understanding of student development theory preferred
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with high accuracy
  • High degree of discretion

Job Duties

  • Serve as primary scheduler for events and activities in University Union facilities
  • Advise clients on food policies, vendor requirements, and event planning best practices
  • Supervise the Event Reservation Specialist student team
  • Plan and execute departmental events supporting student engagement and university initiatives
  • Develop budgets and manage expenditures and revenue streams
  • Partner with campus offices to support an inclusive Student Life environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
