- Two or more years of job related experience or an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a job related field
- Two or more years of job related experience or an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience
- Experience working in a university setting with activities and event planning preferred
- Knowledge of an event planning software preferred
- Understanding of student development theory preferred
- Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and concurrent requests with a high level of accuracy
- High degree of discretion
Job Duties
- Serve as primary scheduler for events and activities which take place in University Union facilities
- Advise clients on food policies, vendor requirements, and event planning best practices
- Lead and support the student Event Reservation Specialist Team
- Assist in planning and executing departmental events tied to student engagement and university initiatives
- Develop associated budgets, manage expenditures, and revenue streams utilizing specified tools
- Partner and collaborate with key campus offices to ensure programs, services, and activities support an inclusive Student Life environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
