Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree or 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, hotel management, or related major
  • minimum 1-3 years experience in revenue management, sales, marketing, or related professional area

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manages room authorizations, rates and restrictions
  • manages function space authorizations, restrictions and rental
  • manages rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue
  • maintains transient rooms inventory for the hotel(s) and maximizes transient revenue
  • releases group rooms back into general inventory and ensures clean booking windows for customers
  • ensures implementation of hotel sales strategies in reservation and inventory systems
  • prepares sales strategy critique
  • monitors transient and group inventory daily for revenue maximization
  • communicates and adjusts sales strategies and rate restrictions as market conditions fluctuate
  • supports cluster selling initiatives working with reservation centers
  • uses reservation and demand forecasting systems to set and control selling strategies
  • ensures property diagnostic processes are used to maximize revenue and profits
  • initiates and evaluates revenue tests
  • complies with company promotions and eCommerce channels
  • maintains brand revenue performance goals including RevPAR and RevPAS
  • understands sales, reservations and property management systems relationships
  • participates in quarterly regional reviews
  • protects brand equity
  • achieves performance, budget and team goals
  • attends planning and coordination meetings
  • establishes long-range objectives and strategies
  • demonstrates job-relevant knowledge
  • meets key stakeholder needs
