Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with children and children’s events
Excellent communication skills including written and verbal
Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying
Ability to handle multiple events and prioritize tasks effectively
Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
Must be able to engage with customers and team positively
Ability to comply with company policies and safety standards
Must be able to use basic computer skills for administrative tasks
Ability to adapt plans based on customer feedback and emergency situations

Retail and/or customer service experience required

Job Duties

Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and perform face painting
Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
Communicate events with clients and store team members
Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork
Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs
Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed
Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after each event
Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
Provide fast and friendly check out experience
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
Educate customer on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking and planogram (POGs) processes
Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
Support shrink and safety programs
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and policies
Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner and project a positive image
Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms
