Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail and customer service experience
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and use equipment such as ladders
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
  • Good interpersonal and people skills
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and cleanliness standards
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Eligibility to satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job

Job Qualifications

  • Experience planning and coordinating events
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
  • Organizational skills and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with children and hosting children's events
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Ability to engage positively with customers of all ages
  • Ability to provide friendly and efficient customer service
  • Basic administration skills such as email and phone communication
  • Ability to work as part of a team and uphold company standards

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails and making phone calls
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup or emergency plans
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote rewards program and credit card enrollments
  • Assist with omnichannel processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain store cleanliness and perform daily housekeeping tasks
  • Cross train in custom framing selling and production
