Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Capable of bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Able to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Must comply with federal, state, and local legal job requirements
  • Ability to engage effectively with customers of all ages
  • Willingness to perform various store operational duties
  • Must maintain positive and respectful attitude
  • Ability to adapt to changing event needs and client feedback

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Previous retail or customer service experience required
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and listening
  • Excellent people skills and ability to handle job stress
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects and perform face painting
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and merchandise recovery
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Interact respectfully and promote positive team values
  • Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Maintain daily store cleanliness including sweeping and dusting
