Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience working with children and children’s events
  • retail or customer service experience
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves
  • ability to perform physical tasks including bending, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • positive attitude and energetic personality
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as required
  • ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
  • willingness to engage with customers and team members respectfully
  • ability to adapt plans based on client feedback

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage clients of all ages by fostering an environment of fun and creativity
  • demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and face painting
  • facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
  • communicate effectively with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup or emergency plans
  • ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • help customers shop and locate products
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • engage customers on Rewards program and credit card benefits and complete enrollments
  • educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • participate in truck unloading, stocking, planograms, merchandise recovery, and maintenance
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures
  • interact respectfully and positively with others
  • cross-train in custom framing selling and production
  • participate in daily store cleanliness activities
