Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Experience handling heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder
  • Demonstrated ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Must meet federal, state, and local legal job requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail and/or customer service experience
  • Excellent people skills
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
  • Organizational skills and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain positive and respectful in difficult situations

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with guests by creating fun and creative environments
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects and perform face painting
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate event details with clients and team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout
  • Promote Rewards program and Credit Card enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking and merchandising
  • Perform merchandise recovery and store maintenance
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Demonstrate respectful and positive interaction with others
  • Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
