Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children and children’s events
- Retail or customer service experience
- Ability to remain standing for long periods
- Ability to move throughout the store
- Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
- Capable of lifting heavy boxes and using ladders
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle job stress and interact positively with others
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in event coordination or working with children’s events
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
- Organizational and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact effectively with customers of all ages
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of safety and cleanliness standards in a retail environment
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
- Engage with clients of all ages by promoting fun and creativity
- Demonstrate and instruct craft projects and activities such as face painting
- Facilitate party add-ons including goody bags and balloons to company standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and store team members
- Complete administrative tasks such as responding to emails and paperwork
- Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans as needed
- Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards during events
- Assist customers in shopping and locating products
- Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
- Promote Rewards program and credit card enrollments
- Educate customers about Voice of Customer surveys
- Support processes such as BOPIS and Ship From Store
- Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and merchandise recovery
- Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
- Maintain a positive, respectful work environment
- Cross train in Custom Framing services
- Participate in daily store cleanliness activities such as sweeping, dusting, and restroom maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned
