Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • retail or customer service experience required
  • must have experience working with children and children's events
  • good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
  • ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and co-workers
  • ability to remain standing for long periods
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and using ladders
  • willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • ability to work in public retail store setting and some outdoor conditions
  • legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons
  • communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • adjust event plans based on client feedback
  • create backup or emergency plans for events
  • ensure client satisfaction
  • uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
  • help customers shop and locate products
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • engage customers on rewards programs and credit cards and complete enrollments
  • educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • assist with buy online pickup in store and ship from store processes
  • participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
  • complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • perform store in stock optimization and AD set duties
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
  • interact respectfully and positively with others
  • cross train in custom framing selling and production
  • participate in daily store cleanliness activities
