Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Ability to comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail and/or customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and co-workers
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects, face painting, and other activities
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup or emergency plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Uphold company cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after events
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Interact positively and respectfully with all customers and team members
  • Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
