Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
experience working with children and children’s events
retail and/or customer service experience
excellent people skills
good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication and listening skills
organizational skills
interpersonal skills
creative problem-solving skills
ability to remain standing for long periods
ability to move throughout the store
ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment
willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
ability to follow company safety and cleanliness standards
legally authorized to work in the U.S.

experience working with children and planning children’s events
excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication

Job Duties

Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
facilitate and implement party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards
communicate events with clients and store team members
complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork
adjust plans based on client feedback and needs
create backup or emergency plans as needed
ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
uphold company cleanliness and safety standards including setup and cleanup before and after events
help customers shop and locate products
provide fast and friendly checkout experience
promote benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store
participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties as assigned
support shrink and safety programs
adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
interact respectfully and positively with others
cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production
participate in daily store cleanliness activities
