Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in event coordination or retail customer service
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical activities including lifting and bending
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Experience working with children and family events
  • Ability to follow company procedures and safety standards
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Must comply with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Ability to engage positively and respectfully with customers and team members

  • Experience in retail or customer service
  • Experience working with children and children's events
  • Excellent people skills
  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
  • Organizational skills and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to engage effectively with guests of all ages
  • Ability to handle job stress while interacting positively
  • Cross-training in custom framing selling and production preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and perform face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks like answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust plans and create backup or emergency plans as needed
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards set up, break down, and clean before and after each event
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
  • Assist with Omni channel processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to SOPs and company policies
  • Interact respectfully with customers and coworkers, serving as a role model
  • Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Perform other duties as assigned
