Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in retail or customer service
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to move throughout the store
Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or equipment
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and communication abilities
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
Must have experience working with children and children’s events
Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as required
Adherence to company policies and safety standards

Job Qualifications

Retail and/or customer service experience
Experience working with children and managing children’s events
Excellent people skills
Effective communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
Energetic and enthusiastic personality
Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and co-workers

Job Duties

Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
Demonstrate and instruct craft project completion and perform activities such as face painting
Facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards
Communicate event details with clients and store team members
Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup or emergency plans
Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
Promote Rewards program and credit card enrollments
Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
Assist with Omni channel processes like BOPIS and Ship From Store
Participate in truck unloading, stocking, planograms, and merchandise recovery
Support shrink and safety programs
Adhere to Company SOPs, policies, and compliance requirements
Interact with others respectfully and positively and serve as a role model
Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production
Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
Perform other duties as assigned
