Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of retail management experience preferably in thrift retail
  • one year of customer service experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
  • ability to pass background check and drug screen where applicable
  • ability to communicate and read English proficiently

Job Duties

  • Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production
  • coordinates with Retail District Manager to develop and implement strategic plans to help drive donations
  • monitors product levels daily to achieve sales budget targets
  • ensures payroll and operating costs are managed to budget
  • ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service
  • maintains clean, well-kept store locations reflecting Goodwill brand
  • partners with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission
  • maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance
  • serves as a Goodwill ambassador to the community
  • transfers to different stores and covers shifts as needed
  • ensures all Team Members are well-trained and fulfill their duties
  • ensures Donation Attendants provide excellent customer service and prepare donations for processing
  • ensures Production Team prices and displays product per company standards
  • partners with other store locations to allocate resources and maximize performance
  • ensures Team Members operate per company standards
  • partners with support areas to ensure compliance and further business goals
  • builds a high-performing team
  • manages performance including coaching, discipline, and reviews
  • ensures Assistant Store Manager manages Retail Store Associates effectively
  • drives company culture change efforts and change management processes
  • models Goodwill Core Values
  • performs other related duties as assigned
