Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in retail or customer service
  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Capability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders safely
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations respectfully and positively
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects, perform face painting and other activities
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
  • Create and execute backup or emergency plans as needed
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
  • Assist customers in shopping and locating products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote and enroll customers in Rewards programs and Private Label Credit Cards
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys
  • Support Omni channel retail processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Execute Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with laws and company policies
  • Promote positive and respectful interactions with customers and team members
  • Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
