Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Experience with event coordination or children’s activities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as bending, carrying, and reaching
  • Willingness to interact with customers of all ages
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Must comply with all federal, state, and local legal requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail and customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and coworkers
  • Ability to engage customers and provide friendly service
  • Knowledge of craft projects and event coordination preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects, perform face painting, and manage party activities
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and maintain cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide a fast, friendly checkout experience
  • Promote rewards programs and credit card enrollments
  • Educate customers on feedback surveys
  • Assist with omni-channel processes like Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram tasks
  • Complete merchandise recovery and store maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies
  • Interact respectfully with customers and team members
  • Cross-train in custom framing selling and production
  • Maintain daily store cleanliness including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom upkeep
