Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- Ability to lift and handle items up to 25 pounds, with stock and fulfillment roles requiring occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Reliable and punctual
- Basic math skills for cashiering
- Must comply with all operational and asset protection standards
- Ability to operate point-of-sale and inventory systems
- Must be able to provide excellent customer service
- Physical ability to perform duties involving bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching continuously for 6-8 hours

Job Duties
- Work with the team to ensure the sales floor stays runway ready and is sized and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms including in-store, online and mobile, operate a point-of-sale system, bag items, handle bulky items and ensure a seamless and friendly experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Keep sales floor clean and clutter free by sorting and returning clothing
- Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
- Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to departments
- Fulfill customer orders timely following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide general store support such as setting up special events, organizing backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures
