Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior retail or customer service experience preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift including bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- Capability to handle bulky items including lifting above head
- Regular lifting of items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
- Stock and fulfillment roles require frequently lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Clear and effective communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and ownership
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs
- Familiarity with retail technology systems preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Assist customers with transactions across platforms including point-of-sale operation and bagging items
- Ensure sales floor remains organized, 'runway ready,' with regular re-merchandising and straightening
- Greet and support customers in fitting rooms, returning clothing to floors
- Maintain organized stockrooms with accurate merchandise check-in and ticketing
- Receive, unload, and distribute merchandise freight to selling departments
- Prepare and ship customer orders following quality and packing standards
- Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
