Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum work requirements of 42 hours per quarter for most of the year and 60 hours during the fourth fiscal quarter
- Must be able to understand and communicate effectively in English
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform physical tasks such as stooping and climbing
- Comfortable using electronic devices for point-of-sale transactions
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and adapt
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using technology including cash registers and handheld devices
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for sales and customer satisfaction
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized shopping assistance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and fitting rooms
- Meet and exceed daily sales goals through effective selling and customer engagement
- Promote and explain Macy's loyalty program and credit accounts to customers
- Use electronic devices and registers to complete transactions efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to support each other and achieve store performance targets
- Handle merchandise replenishment and update pricing and signage
