Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules in English
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Capability to use computers and handheld technology for job functions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic proficiency with electronic devices and cash register systems
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to meet and exceed sales goals
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and engage them in friendly, personal conversations to build relationships
- Understand customer needs and provide personalized product recommendations
- Maintain clean, organized, and shoppable sales floors and fitting rooms
- Review and meet daily sales goals by employing smart selling behaviors
- Assist in updating signage and pricing as well as support merchandise moves
- Promote Macy's loyalty program and ensure customers have a positive checkout experience
- Collaborate with team members to support store operations and customer satisfaction
