Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules in English
- Comfortable using technology such as handheld equipment and cash registers
- Physical ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 lbs
- Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, reaching above eye level, and constant movement
- Ability to meet daily sales goals
- Eagerness to engage with customers and collaborate with colleagues
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is beneficial but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic proficiency with electronic devices and point-of-sale systems
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing retail priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and create personal conversations to build relationships
- Assist customers by understanding their needs and providing personalized product recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable sales floor and fitting rooms
- Achieve and exceed daily sales goals through effective customer engagement and selling behaviors
- Update signage, pricing, and support merchandise moves on the sales floor
- Share the benefits of the Macy’s Loyalty program and ensure customer satisfaction at checkout
- Collaborate with team members to support store operations and foster a positive work environment
